The Minutiae of Mandible, #1: "Style over Substance."

"The Adventures of Drake Mandible" is exactly what the title suggests. It's not going to have a lot in the way of character development, emotional turmoil or moral dilemma (at least, for the moment.) There IS however, going to be a lot of explosions, contrivances and humour (with varying degrees of success)
Drake isn't meant to be a character
you relate to (although if you can, you are fraggin' AWESOME!") but rather a manifestation of ideal human traits.

Like a good, generic, Hollywood hero, he's got a lot going for him; any problem he encounters, no matter how dire or life-threatening is really just a mild inconvenience in the long run.
Whether it's as plausible as a very wealthy man owning a private jet or as far-fetched as evading a nuclear blast in a refrigerator, there is ALWAYS a solution. There is very little that Drake cannot do and whatever foibles he possesses are for comedic purposes rather than flaws to make the character identifiable.

Drake Mandible's universe revolves around him. He will ALWAYS come out on top. It might take some time, but it's as inevitable as Facebook Alterations.

I wouldn't want it any other way...
